Like SoftBuilder, AutoBuilder is based on the HLD language. Whereas SoftBuilder enables hierarchical development, however, AutoBuilder automates the process and while guaranteeing internal consistency. It also supports the development of internally consistent specifications and guarantees correctness of designs relative to their specifications. AutoBuilder supports all development from individual HLD functions and procedures to complex interacting systems.
