Technology, Instruction, Cognition & Learning, affectionately known as TICL, is an interdisciplinary international journal. TICL is sponsored by the TICL SIG of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), and co-sponsored by with its first issue of the 2003 volume now available at www.oldcitypublishing.com
New articles will be available on line as soon as they have been accepted for publication and will remain there until 6 months after publication. At that point articles will be archived via a professional on-line service where they will remain available on-line through university and other institutional libraries.
In recent years, major results have been presented at a number of international forums and conferences that impact the intersection of technology, instruction, cognition and learning (hereafter TICL). The results of one have appeared recently in a special issue of Instructional Science (2001, Vol. 29, Nos. 4-5). A Special Monograph of the Journal of Structural Learning and Intelligent Systems (Volume 14, No. 4) was published in December 2001.
This Special Monograph commemorates the history of this 35 year journal, and is presented on-line with permission of the publisher Taylor and Francis.
The contents frame shows the titles of the articles which appeared in this Special Monograph. They are henceforth available for open on-line discussion.

Thoughtful commentary is welcomed and encouraged. Such commentary will be reviewed for publication in a future (print) issue of TICL. In preparing your commentary, we strongly recommend preparing it in Word (or your other favorite word processor). Once your final edited version is ready, click on "Reply" (to the article in question) and paste in your commentary.
